Description
Hickory Panel-Back Captain's Armchair
The captain's armchair brings a more defined seat to a rustic dining arrangement. Its panel back and hickory character distinguish it from a simple side chair, making it useful at selected positions around the table. Check arm clearance and actual seating dimensions before completing the group.
Materials and craftsmanship
The appeal of hickory lies in its expressive natural structure as well as its color. Grain, knots and individual contours create detail that reveals itself close to the furniture. Coordinate the selected finish with nearby pieces, while allowing for normal variation in the wood rather than expecting an exact repetition of every photographed marking.
Distinctive product details
- American Amish craftsmanship: Handcrafted in the USA by Amish artisans, with a design that emphasizes the specified materials and practical furniture details.
- Genuine hickory character: Natural hickory grain and rustic wood components create an individual surface and structural appearance.

- Steam-bent hickory details: Hand-selected hickory elements are shaped using steam bending, contributing to the rustic form.
- Overall dimensions: 23"W 18"D 36"H.
A chair chosen for the table
The chair’s back, arms and wood character change the atmosphere around the dining surface. A panel-back side chair and a captain’s armchair create different places, even within the same material collection. Match the selected seat to the actual table dimensions and the complete dining arrangement.
Choose your configuration
Color and finish choices: Heritage Hickory; Honeyed Natural; Estate Mocha.
Select the complete option combination to identify the ordered configuration. Different choices can have different prices; a pictured finish or accessory is not automatically included in every version.
Planning, fit and use
Check seat height, overall width and arm clearance where applicable. This is an individual chair unless a stated set quantity applies. Confirm that the chair fits beneath or alongside the selected table as intended.
Care for the selected material
Use care products and cleaning methods appropriate to the supplied finish. Protect surfaces from standing moisture, excessive heat and abrasive objects. Follow assembly and anchoring instructions where supplied, and allow for natural wood variation rather than expecting an exact duplicate of the photograph.
Before you order
Can I mix side chairs and armchairs?
Yes, when their actual dimensions, table clearances and selected finishes work together. Treat each configuration as a distinct chair rather than assuming the measurements are identical.
